The Four Fantastic Facts



Just as God has special ways to keep the sun, moon, and stars in place, He also wants you to know the four facts that will make you safe and keep you in a loving relationship with Him.


FANTASTIC FACT 1


God loves you and wants to show you His wonderful plan for your life!



God's Word, the Bible, says:

God loves you.

"God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son. Anyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life." John 3:16, NIVrv

God has a wonderful life planned for you.

(Jesus speaking) "The thief (the devil) comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so they can have life. I want them to have it in the fullest possible way." John 10:10, NIVrv





FANTASTIC FACT 2


Everyone is born with sin in their hearts.

WHAT IS SIN

Sin is something we do or say or think that does not please God. The Bible says that everyone has sinned.

"Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God's glory." Romans 3:23, NIVrv

When we disobey God's rules, we can't know and experience the wonderful plan God has for our lives.

MAN IS SINFUL

God created us to talk to Him,
and to live in a close relationship
with Him, like in a family. But,
because we disobeyed His rules,
our closeness was broken, and an
invisible wall went up between us
and Him. This disobedience is
called SIN.

MAN IS SEPARATED FROM GOD

"When you sin, the pay you get is death. But God gives you the gift of eternal life because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done." Romans 6:23, NIVrv

This picture shows how our sin keeps us from knowing and pleasing God. Many people try to please God by doing good things, such as going to church, praying more, and helping others. Doing these things make you a nicer person, but they can't erase your sin or make you
part of God's family.


FANTASTIC FACT 3


Only Jesus can clean our sinful hearts.

We must KNOW Jesus in order to get close to Him.
We must let Him clean up our dark and sinful hearts
in order to know Him.

HE DIED IN OUR PLACE

"But here is how God has shown His love for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 8:8, NIVrv

AND JESUS CAME BACK TO LIFE!

"What I received I passed on to you. And it is the most important of all. Here is what it is.Christ died for our sins, just as Scripture said He would. He was buried. He was raised from the dead on the third day, just as Scripture said He would be. He appeared to Peter. Then He appeared to the Twelve (disciples). After that, He appeared to more than 500 believers at the same time." 1 Corinthians 15:3-6, NIVrv

Jesus is The Only Way to God.

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6, NIVrv

This picture shows how God can bring us to Himself by sending Jesus to die on the cross in our place to take the punishment for our sins. But... it is not enough just to know these FACTS about God..


FANTASTIC FACT 4


We must each receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Only when we have accepted Jesus, God's gift, can we know and experience God's love and wonderful plan for our lives.

RECEIVING JESUS MAKES ME A CHILD OF GOD

"Some people did accept Him. They believed in His name. He gave them the right to become children of God." John 1:12, NIVrv

WE RECEIVE JESUS THROUGH FAITH

"God's grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn't come from anything you do. It is God's gift. It is not based on anything you have done. No one can brag about earning it." Ephesians 2:8-9, NIVrv

But, what are we saved from? We're saved from going to the devil's place, and from a lonely life separated from God.

WHEN WE RECEIVE JESUS, WE EXPERIENCE A NEW BIRTH

"Jesus replied, "What I'm about to tell you is true. No one can see God's kingdom without being born again." John 3:3, NIVrv

I RECEIVE JESUS BY INVITING HIM THROUGH THE DOOR OF MY HEART

Jesus speaking, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If any of you hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in..." Revelation 3:20, NIVrv

Receiving Jesus means turning to God and being sorry for our sins. It means trusting Jesus to come into our Hearts and lives, to forgive our sins, and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree in our heads that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died for our sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to just have happy and good feelings about Him. We must make a DECISION to receive Jesus by faith. We must CHOOSE to believe, and then show that we believe by obeying Him and living everyday for Him. These two girls show two kinds of lives.

I AM IN CHARGE OF MY HEART. I DO WHAT I WANT TO DO.

I do only what I want to do. I control my own thoughts and actions. Because I am in charge of my life, I am often unhappy and frustrated.

GOD IS IN CHARGE OF MY HEART. I DO WHAT GOD WANTS ME TO DO.

Jesus helps me make the right choices. My thoughts and actions are controlled by Him. Because He is in charge of my life, I am happy and satisfied.


Here's how you can know Jesus:

You can know and receive Jesus RIGHT NOW by faith, through prayer. (Prayer is talking to God.) God understands you, and wants you to open your heart to Him. Read the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I want to open the door of my heart and receive You as my savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life with You in Heaven. Show me the wonderful plan You have for my life, and make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen.
Does this prayer say the words you want to pray to God? If it does, please go back to it now and pray it to Him. Jesus will come into your heart and life just as He promised.

How To Know That Jesus Is In Your Heart And Life

Did you receive Jesus into your heart? According to Revelation 3:20, who did Jesus come in to? Would Jesus lie to you? Of course not! God has answered your prayer and you can trust Him!

THE BIBLE PROMISES ETERNAL LIFE TO ALL WHO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST

(Eternal life is living forever in Heaven with God after
our bodies die on earth.)

"Here is God's witness. He has given us eternal life. That life is found in His Son. Those who belong to the Son have life. Those who do not belong to the Son of God do not have life." 1 John 5:11-13, NIVrv
Thank God for sending Jesus to be your Savior, and thank Him that Jesus will NEVER leave you. He lives in you, and you now have eternal life since the very moment you invited Him in. You can trust that God will never lie to you.

Always remember...

Do Not Depend On Your Feelings.

God's Word, the Bible, ALWAYS tells the truth. As a
Christian, you can always trust God and the Bible.

We can trust God and His Word.

FEELINGS

We feel good when we are trusting in God, and are obeying Him.

Have you ever watched a train? The engine pulls all the cars. The train depends on the engine in order to run. But the train can run with or without the caboose - or good or happy feelings. But, if the caboose tried to pull the train, it couldn't, because it has no engine. That means that even if we are sad, or have problems, God is still in charge, loving us, and caring for us. And He will never, ever leave us.

Now That You Have Received Jesus As Your Savior...

The moment you received Jesus into your heart and
life, many things happened, including the following:

Can you think of anything more exciting that could happen to you than receiving Jesus? Would you like to talk to God right now and thank Him for what He has done for you? By thanking God, you are showing your faith in Him.

Pray: Thank You, God, for sending Your Son so that I can be forgiven and have eternal life with You in Heaven!

It's Time To Grow.

You have been "born again." You must start to grow to be the person God wants you to be. Here's how:

G Go to God and talk to Him in prayer everyday. (Read John 15:7)

R Read your Bible everyday, beginning with the book of John. (Read Acts 17:11)

O Obey God all day and everyday. (Read John 14:21)

W Witness for Jesus by telling others He loves them and wants to come into their hearts too. (Read Matthew 4:19 and John 15:8)

T Trust God and ask for His help concerning every little and big thing in your life. (Read 1 Peter 5:7)

H Holy Spirit - allow God's Holy Spirit to help you obey God and live a life that's pleasing to Him. (Read John 14:26)

And...Go to church. God tells us in the Bible that we should go to church regularly. Knowing other people who love Jesus will help you to grow in faith. If you can't go with your family, find a friend or relative who will take you.


It's Important To Go To Church


The Bible tells us that a child of God needs to go to church. (Hebrews 10:25)

Have you ever watched a fire burning in a fireplace? Several logs together burn brightly. But, what happens to a log if you pull it out of the flames? It gets cold and its fire goes out. That's like what happens in God's family. When God's children spend time together, their love for Jesus burns stronger. You can spend time with other Christians by going to church. If you don't belong to a church, ask someone to help you find one that teaches
about Jesus.
