Read or quote the memory verse.
God tells us that His Word is the Bible.
What is your favorite story from the Bible?
Why is it your favorite?
What does it teach you about God?
Let's read Isaiah 40:8.
No matter what happens in the world, God's Word, the Bible, stays the same.
Some people like to say that the God of the Old Testament changed in the New Testament. Let's see what you think:
Read Genesis 15:6 from the Old Testament.
Why is Abraham counted righteous? (Because of his faith.)
Now let's read what it says Romans 3:28 from the New Testament.
In the New Testament, how does God say we are made right with Him? (By faith in Him.)
God did not change. The principle of Faith in Him has always been the only way to be made right.
Abraham trusted God would send a Savior.
You and I trust in the Savior He sent. Both are expressions of faith.
God made hundreds of promises throughout the Bible, and they are as trustworthy today as they were when they were written centuries ago. His promises do not change -- ever--you can count on them!
Why does it matter?Because God Never Changes, you can trust that His Word is as true today as it was the day it was written.
Because God Never Changes, His promises are the same today and tomorrow as they were the day they were made.
Talk with God and Stay ConnectedThank God for one of His promises and let Him know how glad you are that His Word never changes.
